How to stop receiving restock alerts

Last updated: 17 July 2026

The short version: open any alert we sent you and click Unsubscribe in the footer. One click. No login, no form, no “are you sure”. You are suppressed immediately.

Why you are getting these emails

Someone entered your address into a “Notify me” form on an online store’s product page, on a product that was out of stock, and asked to be told when it returned. Restock Relay is the app that store uses to send that one email. We do not buy, rent or scrape addresses, and we do not send marketing — so if an alert surprised you, the most likely explanation is that you subscribed a while ago and the product only just came back.

Option 1 — the unsubscribe link in the email

Every alert we send carries an unsubscribe link in its footer. The merchant cannot remove it; it is part of the message we send. Clicking it stops all Restock Relay alerts from that store, permanently, right away. You do not need an account and you will not be asked to confirm.

Option 2 — your mail app’s own unsubscribe button

Our messages include the standard one-click unsubscribe headers described in RFC 8058 (List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post). Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook and others use these to show their own Unsubscribe button next to the sender name. That button works: it tells us directly, and we suppress your address the same way as Option 1.

Option 3 — mark it as spam

If you would rather just hit the spam button, that also works. We receive complaint notifications from our email provider and add the reporting address to our suppression list automatically. It is a blunter instrument than unsubscribing — it affects the sending reputation of a small store that probably did nothing wrong — but it will stop the emails.

If the link does not work

Email us at support@restockrelay.app from the address that received the alert, and tell us which store it was about. We will suppress it by hand and confirm. If you cannot mail us from that address, tell us the address to remove and we will still do it.

What “unsubscribed” means for your data

We keep your address on a do-not-send list — that is exactly what makes the unsubscribe stick. If we erased the record entirely, nothing would stop the same address being added again by a future signup or a list import. The list records only the address, the reason (unsubscribe, bounce, complaint or manual) and the date. Suppression is applied at three levels, so a suppressed address is not mailed even if a merchant re-imports it later.

If you would rather we deleted the record anyway, or you want to know what we hold about you, see your rights in the privacy policy and write to us.

A note for merchants

You cannot re-subscribe an address that unsubscribed, and you cannot turn the unsubscribe footer off — those are conditions of using the app (see the terms). If one of your shoppers is having trouble, send them to this page.
